A former Playboy Playmate is being held in police custody after she was caught allegedly buying and dealing powerful painkiller drugs.
Tanya Beyer, who was Playboy's Miss February in 1992, was arrested late last month in Florida, US, after spending six months as a fugitive, the Smoking Gun reports.
Police allege the 38-year-old illegally obtained the painkiller Oxycodone from three separate doctors, and then proceeded to use the drugs and sell them to others.
Beyer failed to appear in court to face the charges and was declared a fugitive in early October last year.
She surrendered to police at a Palm Beach jail on March 24 this year and is currently being held on a US$100,000 (NZ$142,000) bond.
Beyer, who is originally from Colorado, has also appeared in numerous Playboy videos.
Oxycodone is found in the painkiller OxyContin, which is more widely known as "hillbilly heroin".
The drug is a derivative of opium and is in the same family of drugs as morphine.
