Two young children spent two days trapped in their UK house after their mother suddenly died.
The girls, aged three and four, had to yell through their letterbox to get help, The Sun newspaper reports.
"Can you come to the door?", neighbours heard the girls crying on Sunday afternoon, after also spotting them dangling their legs out of an upstairs window and throwing clothes onto the street to attract attention.
Police came to the rescue, breaking into the home in Merseyside, northwest England, and finding the body of 29-year-old mother Debbie Caldwell.
It is believed she died of a drug overdose two days earlier.
It is not clear why the young sisters could not open the front door and free themselves.
Neighbours said they saw Ms Caldwell last on Friday afternoon as she picked up one of her daughters from a local child care centre.
Social service workers are now taking care of the girls.
