A British coroner has condemned the actions of people who took photographs of a 15-year-old girl after she jumped to her death from a multi-storey carpark.
Robyn Nixon had been the victim of bullying at her school in Dorset, England and had recently broken up with her boyfriend of seven months when she decided to take her life, reports The Daily Mail.
Her ex-boyfriend was on his way to the carpark, accompanied by his new girlfriend, after Robyn called him and raised concerns for her safety.
Moments before the pair arrived, Robyn stepped from the edge of the building, an inquest has heard.
The coroner, Michael Johnston, was highly critical of the actions of some passers-by.
"This was a child’s life and you were taking photos on your mobile phones," he said.
"I'm sorry but I think that is horrid and the people who did that ought to be ashamed of themselves."
It is believed that Robyn had been psychologically bullied in the 18 months leading up to her death.
