Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren have officially finalised their divorce.
The disgraced golfer and the Swedish ex-model were both present at Bay County Circuit Court, in Panama City, Florida, this morning to settle the hard-fought deal.
Financial details have not been made public, but some reports suggest the mother of Woods’ two young children will walk away with a staggering US$775 million, making it the world's biggest-ever celebrity divorce settlement.
Nordegren’s lawyers confirmed the legal move.
A statement released on behalf of Woods, 34, and Nordegren stressed their primary concern is their children.
The statement said: "We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future.
"While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us… the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being…"
According to Tmz.com, business-savvy Nordegren, 31, is more likely to net US$100 million – ten times more than Woods' first alleged mistress, New York party hostess Rachel Uchitel, reportedly bagged to keep quiet.
In return for the huge payout, Nordegren must observe a lifetime confidentiality clause that bans her from ever signing any book deals or giving interviews to the press about her marriage with the golf icon.
Nordegren, who is seeking sole physical custody of their children, three-year-old Sam and Charlie, 18 months, has reportedly added her own strings to the contract, barring Woods from exposing his children to any of his girlfriends.
As part of the deal, Nordegren also reportedly gets to keep the family’s US$2.5 million waterfront pad in Windermere, Orlando.
