A train service was terminated in Sydney after a giant purple penis was spray painted on the driver's window.
RailCorp told ninemsn the train was cancelled on December 7 after the graffiti was found on windscreen of the back driver's cabin.
"It was not only offensive, but would have been a safety hazard when the train operated back from Dapto as it would have blocked the driver’s view," RailCorp said in a statement to ninemsn.
Passengers had to wait 29 minutes for a replacement train to continue the route from Sydenham Station.
The vandalised train was sent to the depot for cleaning.
A photo of the train was posted by a passenger on social news website Reddit.com who said: "This graffiti just caused my train to terminate … Literally c--- blocked."
RailCorp said the incident showed how graffiti can impact customers.
"Not only is there a cost to the taxpayer in clean up; but the service was terminated and customers experienced delays of 29 minutes as a result."
The company said people caught vandalising rail property faced fines up to $2200 ($NZ2896).
