A fire has damaged the Backbencher Pub and Cafe in Wellington.
The satirical political puppet of United Future leader Peter Dunne and Maori Party co-leader Pita Sharples were damaged in the fire that is that is thought to have started in the kitchen.
The neighbouring apartment complex was forced to evacuate, but no one was injured in the fire.
