A spacecraft carrying China's first female astronaut and two male crew mates has launched.
The Shenzhou-9 manned spacecraft carrying the three crew members was launched at 6.37pm local time on Saturday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, China.
It is to perform the country's first manned space docking mission with the orbiting Tiangong-1 unmanned space lab, which was launched last September.
