The American Express Queenstown Winter Festival 2012 is underway at present. The event is in its 38th year and is widely-regarded as the biggest winter party in New Zealand.
The event is a 10 day celebration of the south island holiday town’s unique culture and community with street parties, fireworks, international and local acts, jazz, comedy, a Mardi Gras, family fun, and plenty of Mountain Mayhem.
Around 45,000 people will celebrate the arrival of winter in true Queenstown style.
