Several New Zealand cities are blanketed in a rare persistent fog for the second day in a row. Airport websites in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch are all reporting flights cancelled or delayed due to fog. Christchurch Airport's website says fog has delayed flights from Dunedin too.

WeatherWatch.co.nz says Auckland's fog is slow at lifting due to a low crossing northern New Zealand creating extra calm conditions.
The fog is creating hazardous conditions for commuters travelling to work.
