Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has released 33 new photos taken over a 25-minute period during the onslaught of last year's tsunami.
They show the aftermath of the tsunami destruction at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
A massive tsunami crashed into Japan following a huge undersea earthquake on March 11, 2011.
Police figures show a total of 19,294 people are believed to have died - 15,844 people have been confirmed dead and the whereabouts of 3,450 people are yet to be confirmed, as the hunt for bodies continues.
The tsunami knocked out cooling systems at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, sending reactors into meltdown and causing radioactive materials to leak into the air, soil and the sea.
