Fire alarms sent dozens of moviegoers rushing out of a Sydney cinema complex late last night.
Patrons were left standing on the footpath outside George Street Event Cinemas after screens blacked out and smoke alarms started beeping loudly at 11.15pm.
"There was not a real sense of panic — everyone was just saying how annoying it was," audience member Monica Connors told MSN NZ.
After 20 minutes, ticket-holders were allowed back in to watch the rest of their films.
