National Geographic Traveler magazine has announced the winners of its annual photo contest.
More than 12,000 entries were submitted from 6,615 photographers in 152 countries around the globe.
They were taken in locations ranging from Afghanistan to Vietnam, with the winning pictures showing everything from peaceful landscapes to unexpected moments.
