The four-day Durga Puja concluded in Delhi, India, with idols of the goddess immersed in Yamuna river.
Hundreds gathered along the riverbanks and there were elaborate security arrangements by the police, including closed circuit television cameras, The Hindu reports.
Cranes were used to pull out the debris of idols from the river and 1,200 litres of lead-free paints were were distrubuted to communites to avoid pollution.
