San Francisco Zoo shipped in 10 tons of man-made snow to help its two polar bears celebrate their birthdays yesterday.
Frolicking in the snow was not the only birthday treat for Pike, 30, and Ulu, 32 – they also got got a fish popsicle in the shape of a teddy bear.
The pair are amongst the oldest polar bears in captivity in the US – in the wild, a polar bear’s life expectancy is about 15 years.
