A fashion shoot in a major US magazine featuring a woman considered too large for even plus-size modelling has reignited the body image debate.

Lizzie Miller bared all in Glamour magazine's September issue with full thighs and a "jelly-belly" on display.

More than 1000 readers have responded since Glamour's September issue came out — almost all of them positively.

"I am gasping with delight... I love the woman on p 194," one wrote.

"Anyone who thinks that this model is unhealthy should have their head examined: she's tall, has an athletic build and a bit of a tummy … end of story," another said.

"A real woman who looks like a person," a fan claimed.

"She makes me want to go out to the rooftop and shout."

Editor in chief Cindi Leive said the response was instantaneous.

"The letters about it started to flood my inbox literally the day Glamour hit newsstands," she said.

"I hope it's the beginning of a revolution."

Although the attention has generated work for 20 year-old model Miller, who is around a US size 12-14, she remains disappointed that she's considered a "plus size" model.

"It's sad — in the industry anything over size six is considered a plus-size," she said.

FIRSTLY I'd just like to say that I don't think shes even plus sized at all! So shes got a little tummy? Who doesnt?? Those anorexic models who starve themselves??? Im quite confident in saying theres no question about exactly WHO is unhealthy here. SECONDLY she is absolutley flawlessly *beautiful* and I agree with the person who said anyone who has an issue with this obviously has an issue with themself!! Good on you Lizzie Miller! Your a star! =)
Fantastic!!! she looks great , i am a size 10 and with a wee belly and allways see stick figures everywhere, it is nice to see some one like me , we need more women to say " hey its ok, not to hate your body" . it is a problem if you are having health issues due to your weight , then you should think about losing a bit .
Sorry but that is hideous. I can look at that at home I don't want to open up a magazine and see it there too. She might be a nice person etc etc but I don't want to look at her flabby belly. Yuck.
keep it up she looks gd so y complan
a real woman in the real world......Yipeeeeee! about time. Anyone out there who has an issuse with this gorgeous image, may i suggest the real issuse is with yourself! Go gal
she is extremly sexy full stop.
shes very sexy, jelly belly or no belly.
i think she looks hot!!! flab or no flab i would rather see a plus sized woman, a real woman with real curves modeling the things we want to buy than an anorexic bulimic woman, whos drivin herself sick to be as small as she is. im not fat and im not skinny but i think skinny is ugly your all bone no muscle no body fat. I dont want my kids growing up thinking its only ok to be that skinny! i dont want them making them selves sick and starving them selves to be how society is saying they should be. woman should take pride it there buldges there flab and there curves, the hour glass shape use to be the thing now a beanpole is, what kind of world are we being bought up in, i think highly of the beautifully curved woman in our world who want to model. let them model its hot and its real
I think her stomach looks dreadful, cover it up, the rest of her is ok but,
She is hot
