The Kiwi rowing team crossing the Tasman from Australia have successfully made it to New Zealand, but the journey is not yet over for three of the crew members.
It's been 51 days since the Team Gallagher rowers Nigel Cherrie, Martin Berka, Andrew McGowan and James Blake set off from Sydney.
They made landfall in the Bay of Islands to pick up more supplies and say goodbye to Berka, who had to leave the crew for personal reasons.
The team is bidding to become the first New Zealand team to row across the Tasman.
They set off from the Sydney Harbour Bridge on November 27.
The boat is just 10.5m long and 2m wide.
The trip has been hampered by bad weather and equipment breakages, including several broken axles and failure of their water maker.
The remaining crew members were expected to be back on the water by Monday evening to continue to the finish line in Auckland, 3 News reported.
