Police are looking for help from the public about a crash which claimed the life of a man on Auckland's Northwestern Motorway.
Kawati Ross Timoti, 22, died after Tuesday's crash at 9pm on the causeway between Waterview and Rosebank Road after his white Nissan Skyline car crossed the median barrier, went through a safety fence and hit a power transformer, causing a power outage.
Police said they were seeking witnesses to the crash, and in particular wanted to speak to the driver of a red vehicle with a damaged front bumper seen near the crash site.
The motorway was closed for seven hours while emergency services cleared the scene.
