A man injured in a crash on State Highway 1 in Canterbury has died in hospital.
Christchurch man Vaughan Stuart Thomas, 60, was the driver and sole occupant of a car that crossed the centre line into the path of another car, on Saturday afternoon, near Rolleston.
Mr Thomas was taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital.
He died on Monday as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash, police say.
The 44-year-old male driver of the other vehicle suffered fractures and bruising, while his 11-year-old daughter, who was in the front passenger seat, was grazed and bruised.
Police say no charges will be laid over the crash and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
