A ticket holder is more than $26 million richer after buying a winning lotto ticket in a small Waikato town.
The winning draw on Saturday is the third largest prize by a single ticket in NZ Lotteries history, says NZ Lotteries chief executive Wayne Pickup.
The winner won a powerball jackpot of $26,264,932 and a $333,333 split of lotto first division with two other ticket holders.
The ticket was sold at the Te Kauwhata Foodmarket in Te Kauwhata, north of Hamilton, which has a population of about 1000 people.
