Wanted sex offender found after TV appeal

A convicted sex offender wanted by police for breaching supervision orders has been arrested in Lower Hutt.

Brian Conroy, 43, was featured on crime-fighting television programme Police Ten 7 on Thursday night and was found in a house in Stokes Valley on Friday morning after tip-offs from the public.

Police had been seeking Conroy since April 27.
