A person has died following a two-vehicle crash west of Hastings on Friday afternoon.
A van and a 4WD collided on State Highway 50, near the intersection with Kereru Road, just after 1pm, police say.
A passenger in the van died at the scene, while the van's driver has been taken to Hastings Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the 4WD suffered minor injuries.
