A woman is dead after being hit by a car near Drury on Wednesday night.
Police say the female pedestrian was struck on Karaka Road about 8.10pm, on the outskirts of the town south of Auckland.
The car's driver remained at the scene and police had spoken to him as part of their investigation into the accident.
