A security guard has been filmed swinging a skateboard at a young man and snapping it in two with his bare hands in a sudden violent outburst at Eden Park.
The incident allegedly occurred after a group of young skateboarders walked through an open gate at the Auckland stadium around 4pm on Saturday.
"He asked us to leave and we said we would in a polite manor (sic). Then he started chasing us," said the person who posted video of the incident online on July 28, under the user name PoonTangClanNZ.
The footage shows two young skateboarders being chased by a security guard inside the sports arena.
The person filming then stumbles and falls off their skateboard, which the security guard quickly grabs.
When the person filming approaches the guard, he says: "You know you're trespassing on private property and I'm on the phone with the police right now?"
The young man filming tells the guard he and his friends entered through an open gate and then asks for his skateboard back, but the security guard refuses and begins walking to the exit.
The young man follows the security guard and continues to argue with him and ask for his skateboard.
When they reach the gate the security guard tells the man and his friends to leave — but when he keeps asking for his skateboard the guard suddenly snaps.
He swings the skateboard at the person filming and then his friend, appearing to clip him in the stomach.
He then smashes the skateboard into the stadium door, yelling "I'll wreck your skateboard".
The guard is seen following the skateboarders out of the stadium.
"Want your board back? Here it is," he says, before snapping it in two with his hands and throwing the pieces at them.
