Six people have been injured in a head-on collision near Whitianga on Friday afternoon.
Two of the injured have already been airlifted to Waikato Hospital and the rescue helicopter is returning to the Coromandel scene to take a third person there.
Three others have been taken to Thames Hospital by ambulance.
Police couldn't confirm their conditions at this stage.
SH25 south of Whitianga has reopened following the crash, but police are advising motorists to take care.
