Police Commissioner Peter Marshall is presenting the first 100 of the 2011 Canterbury Earthquake Citation awards at a ceremony in Christchurch.

They are the first of about 3600 New Zealand police staff - more than 1000 of whom are from Canterbury - who will receive the red and black ribbon in a silver metallic frame.
