A person is dead after their car crashed down a bank in Waikato.
A fire northern communications spokesman told NZ Newswire emergency services were called to the scene, on Waring Road near Taupriri, at 5.45pm on Thursday.
One person was trapped in the car, but they died at the scene, the spokesman said.
