The main route between Richmond and Nelson has reopened after it was closed following an ammonia leak at an industrial estate in Stoke.
State Highway 6, Whakatu Drive, has reopened to traffic after being closed for a short time while the Fire Service and police dealt with the chemical leak at the Wakatu Industrial Estate in Stoke.
A section of the Main Road in Stoke remained closed and cordons are in place in the area around Elms Street.
