Prince William and Kate Middleton met in 2001 at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where they were both undergraduates. Rumours of a relationship between the pair circulated for a few years until they were spotted together on a skiing holiday in Klosters, Switzerland, in 2004. Rumour has it this was the first time Kate met William's dad, Prince Charles.
