A taxi driver in Montreal has been filmed running over a young man and fleeing the scene.
Jonathan Himsworth witnessed the "horrific" incident from the window of his home after a fight broke out between the driver and a group of passengers in the early hours of Sunday morning local time.
He started filming when he saw the verbal stoush over a fare had escalated into violence.
WARNING: The video above is graphic and may be disturbing to some viewers.
The men can be seen in the video attacking the cab before it charges towards them.
Mr Himsworth told CTV Montreal the cabbie was chasing the passengers "back-and-forth in the intersection, essentially just trying to hit them."
One man is seen jumping on the taxi's roof as Mr Himsworth yells out for him to get out of the way.
But moments later the taxi ploughs into one of the men and rolls over his body with a disturbing thump.

"I didn't expect him to retaliate quite so extraordinarily," Mr Himsworth said.
"It was a horrific incident to witness."
The 47-year-old driver fled the scene but was later arrested.
Montreal police spokesperson Raphael Bergeron said the 23-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition and has now been downgraded to stable.
A 42-year-old man was also arrested for mischief involving the taxi.
