Two of Sweden's most violent killers — a blood-sucking vampire and a murderous cannibal — have announced their intention to marry, with an official from the Church of Satan set to preside over the nuptials.

Isakin Jonsson, 33 — also known as the Human Flesh Eater — and Michelle Gustafsson, 23 — often referred to in Sweden as the Blood-Sucking Murderess — are both permanently confined to the high-security Karsuddens psychiatric facility for crimes that shocked the country.

Jonsson cut off his girlfriend's head and ate parts of her body before boasting about it online, according to the Daily Mail, while Gustafsson stabbed a young man and photographed herself with blood still dripping from her lips while holding a knife and a power saw.

The pair met online in November and became engaged a month later, but the union wasn't made public until Jonsson contacted British newspaper The Sun in an attempt to sell the story.

Sweden's liberal laws mean that Jonsson and Gustafsson have internet and phone privileges while housed at Karsuddens.

The vicious nature of their crimes means the pair is never likely to be released from the facility, but that hasn't stopped them from posting their desires for a 'normal' life online.

"We want to live together at some point, have dogs and pursue our hobbies: piercing and tattoos," Gustafsson wrote.

"I love Michelle. Have never met anyone like her. I want to live a non-criminal life," Jonsson posted.
