6.6-magnitude quake hits Indonesia's Aceh

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake has hit Indonesia's Aceh province on Sumatra island, the Indonesian Meteorological and Geophysics Agency says.

The quake struck 24 kilometres northwest of Subulussalam town in Aceh at 11.34am (1434 AEST) on Saturday at a depth of 103km, the agency said.

"The quake's epicentre was on land. There are no reports of damage so far," agency official Dedi Sugianto told AFP.
