A US day care worker has reportedly been sent on paid leave after a video surfaced of her taunting a three-year-old boy.
Connecticut mother Tyesha Reese was fuming after the mobile phone footage of her son, Michael, being teased at the Sleeping Giant Day Care in Hamden was emailed to her, New Haven based WTNH reports.
The video, which is believed to have been shot by his teacher Lindsay Cavallaro, shows Michael becoming frustrated over the ordeal.
"News flash sweetheart I don't really like you either. Because you throw toys. I don't like you," an adult’s voice, believed to be Ms Cavallaro’s, can be heard saying in the video.
When Michael threatens to throw her phone, she encourages him by saying: "Do it. Go ahead. No balls. Oh you're a tough guy. Hey boss, show me your nine".
The video was forwarded around, before it eventually landed in Ms Reese's email inbox.
"It hurt because he was defenseless," Ms Reese said.
"He was sitting in a chair and as a child he was trying to defend himself."
The teacher has reportedly been put on paid leave while the day care investigates.
