US police are on the lookout for a man who was filmed allegedly attempting to abduct a 10-year-old girl.
The dramatic moment, captured on CCTV cameras across the street yesterday in the US, shows a man sneaking up behind the girl and her two-year-old brother.
He places his hand over the girl's mouth before attempting to carry her away.
The video, which was released by police yesterday, shows the little girl trying to fight off her alleged attacker before the man runs to a vehicle parked around the corner.
“When I saw the video, I mean you go from wanting to cry to wanting to hurt the person doing this to your child,” the girl’s father told CBS Philly.
“Never in my life have I been so enraged and mad and probably hurt and upset.”
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is offering a US$10,000 reward to try and locate the man responsible.
"This is a sick individual to do something like that," he said.
"I want the creep off our streets immediately."
Investigations are continuing.
