A Scottish driver stopped to take a photo of a dying hit-and-run victim before driving off without providing assistance or calling emergency services.
Ikram Choudhury, 19, came across the man in an Edinburgh street and tweeted a picture of him to his 3407 followers.
"Eeeehm wtf? Some guy just casually lying outside Ocean Terminal," he tweeted with the photo, according to Scotland's Daily Record.
Police arrived about 15 minutes after Choudhury had left the scene and provided first aid until paramedics arrived a short time later.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but died of head and internal injuries.
When questioned by one of his followers whether he'd checked on the welfare of the injured man, Choudhury admitted he hadn't, saying he'd only taken the photo as a "joke".
"He might be dying and you left him for death," the follower tweeted.
"You should have seen if he was OK."
Police questioned the teenager at his home, but said he is not a suspect in the hit-and-run.
The photo remained on Twitter for more than eight hours until he removed it at the request of police.
Choudhury's account now appears to be closed.
