A Korean man is suing a New York Hooters restaurant for racial discrimination after he found an offensive name on his takeaway receipt.
Kisuk Cha claims the receipt attached to the takeaway order he and his girlfriend placed on July 1 had "Chinx" written on it.
Cha's attorney, Daniel Baek, said his client was disgusted by the racist note and threw away the food when he got home.
A food server's name was printed on the receipt but the person was later cleared of any wrongdoing after another employee admitted she wrote the offensive slur.
The restaurant claims the employee has since apologised and resigned from the Queens franchise.
The customer is suing Hooters of America, the owners of the Queens franchise and the two workers for damages.
