Students from a US school have been suspended and face expulsion after viewing a nearly nude photo of their teacher.
But the punishment has infuriated the parents of the students, who say it was the teacher’s fault for keeping the lewd photos on her phone.
Joshua Troutt, 13, told Fox 59 that he and three other classmates from Highland Middle School in Indiana, saw the picture on a school-issued iPad that had synched with their teacher’s iPhone.
“It showed up of our teacher with a bra on, but most of her breast was showing,” he said. “I never thought of seeing my teacher like that.”
Troutt said he was not to blame as the class iPad was automatically synched to the teacher’s iPhone.
“We couldn’t do anything not to look at it, if it just popped up when he pressed the button,” Troutt told a local television station.
“It was her fault that she had the photo on there. Her iPhone synched to it. She had to have pressed something to make all of her photos synch on there.”
Local detective, Joel Sandefur said the police have turned to matter over to the school.
“Since the material was not pornographic in nature and no criminal violation could be gleaned from the evidence as presented, the matter was turned over to the school and the police investigation was closed.”
Troutt’s mother, Nicole said the punishment was “very unfair” and alleged her son “never even touched the iPad.”
The Sun has reported that the school has taken legal action against the teacher in the photo but no details have been given.
