Skydiver films mid-air near miss

12:13 Mon Apr 8 2013

A thrilling free-fall nearly turned into a mid-air disaster for two skydivers who came within centimetres of colliding thousands of feet above the ground.

Go Pro video captured by Norwegian daredevil Kenneth Adolfsen shows the close call unfold just moments after he exits the plane.

Adolfsen drops into a head-down skydive but just seconds later his friend starts to “free fly” towards him at a rapid rate.

A well-timed duck is all that saves the pair from a potentially hazardous collision.

"Thing happens very fast in freeflying, and we were lucky this time," Adolfsen wrote on his YouTube page.

It is unclear where the video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday, was filmed.
